A modern escrow-based marketplace connecting homeowners with qualified contractors through an automated, invitation-only bidding system. Contractors only see jobs they're invited to, ensuring quality matches and a professional experience.
The Challenge
Traditional job boards like Angi and Thumbtack feel spammy and low-trust. Homeowners receive dozens of unqualified bids, while contractors waste time applying to irrelevant jobs. No automated escrow or milestone-based payment system existed for home services.
The Solution
We built a full-stack platform with automated contractor eligibility filtering, ranking algorithm, and wave-based invitations (2hr/6hr/12hr windows). Integrated Stripe Connect for contractor payouts and a secure escrow system with fund holding, release, and immutable ledger. Contractors must complete Stripe onboarding before bidding, ensuring only verified professionals participate.
The Result
Phase 1 backend complete with full escrow functionality. Phase 2 frontend in active development with live staging environment. Homeowners can post jobs with eligibility criteria, system automatically invites top-ranked contractors, and only onboarded contractors can bid.
